fine lines & wrinkles

The leading causes of fine lines or wrinkles include age and exposure to the sun which breaks down your skin's connective tissue — collagen and elastin fibers, which lie in the deeper layer of skin (dermis). Without properly functioning supportive connective tissue, your skin loses its strength and flexibility, and and begins to sag and wrinkle.[1]

Why Use BioRenew® PTM Therapy™?

BioRenew PTM Therapy augments and replaces the damaged connective tissues (collagens and elastin fibers), restoring the inadequate tissue with a highly viable placental ‘connective tissue matrix’. This provides fresh biologic components that have not deteriorated or aged, and may aid in supporting the cellular environment, improved function and remodeling of the patient’s damaged tissues.

Scars

Any burn, injury, or other trauma such as surgery, can cause a scar. Scars form when the dermis (deep, thick layer of skin made up of connective tissue) is damaged. To repair the damage, the body quickly forms disorganized, new collagen fibers (a naturally occurring protein in the body), resulting in a scar. The new scar tissue will have a different texture and quality than the surrounding tissue, and can cause discomfort, poor mobility, and visual blemishes.

Why Use BioRenew® PTM Therapy™?

BioRenew PTM Therapy augments and replaces the damaged connective tissues (collagens and elastin fibers) with a highly viable placental ‘connective tissue matrix’. This highly viable non aged biologic treatment assisting the body in properly remodeling correct tissue, preventing the need for the body to lay down disorganized, fibrous scar tissue.

Dermal Rejuvenation / Micro-needling:

Micro-needling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive treatment to rejuvenate the skin. A roller or pen-type device with fine needles creates numerous tiny punctures in the skin. This causes micro-trauma to the connective tissue within the skin, and triggers the body to create new collagen and elastin to repair the area. Results can include improved texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks. For best results, micro-needling may also be combined with a biologic treatment to improve the body’s ability to restore the damaged tissues.

Traditional Treatments

PRP (platelet rich plasma) is a treatment derived from the patient's own blood, which is sometimes used in conjunction with micro-needling, to provide a biologic aid for improved dermal rejuvenation. However, PRP contains limited biologic potential, and involves a painful needle to draw blood from the patient, and a lengthy preparation time.

Why Use BioRenew® PTM Therapy™?

BioRenew PTM Therapy is a ready to use, off the shelf, rich biologic treatment, which is applied in conjunction with the micro-needling process to fill the small voids caused by the needling, and support the body’s natural biologic process in restoring the area. Versus PRP (aged proteins),  BioRenew PTM Therapy provides fresh biologic components that have not deteriorated or aged, and may aid in supporting the cellular environment, improved function and remodeling of the patient’s damaged tissues with no need for a painful needle, blood draw and long prep time.
